# Notion Plus

> Use this when you want to install and connect the Notion Plus custom app to do things in Make that the official Notion app can't, such as inviting guests, duplicating pages, converting Markdown and uploading files.

Notion Plus is a custom app that brings features the official Notion app lacks into Make: inviting
guests and revoking access, duplicating pages, converting Markdown, uploading files and more.

## Install

Install **Notion Plus** from the Showcase using the shared steps in
[Installing custom apps](/guides/custom-apps/overview). To go straight there, use the
[Make app invitation link](https://www.make.com/en/hq/app-invitation/a51799e6cdcd8e61822daf3ea7de6c2e).

## Get the connection values (Space ID, User ID, Token)

Module connections need your Notion **Space ID**, **User ID** and **Token**. A Chrome extension
grabs all three at once.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the extension">
    Add [Make Notion Auth Helper](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/make-notion-auth-helper/aafdlmbpeecalmhgoaclfgnbgnidfofm)
    to Chrome.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a page with an image">
    Open your Notion workspace in the browser, create a new page and **upload one image** to it. The
    image is what makes all the values show up.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the values">
    On that page, click the extension icon, copy the Space ID, User ID and Token, and paste them into
    the Make connection dialog. If you use the **File Download** module, also add the **File Token**
    from the same screen to the connection.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## API key connection for file uploads

The file upload modules connect with Notion's official API key (the internal integration secret).
This needs Magic Meal Kits server **4.0.0 or later**, so check your version in
[App Status](https://make.magicmealkits.com) first. Everything other than file uploads keeps using the
connection you made above.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create an integration">
    In [Notion's integration settings](https://www.notion.so/profile/integrations/internal), click
    **Create a new integration**, pick a name and workspace, and click **Create**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the secret">
    Under **Configure integration settings**, click **Show** next to **Internal integration secret**
    and copy it. Paste it into the **Notion Token (Internal)** field of the Make connection.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the integration to your pages">
    On each Notion page or database your automation uses, click **...** in the top right →
    **Connections** → **Add connection**, pick the integration you just made and click **Confirm**.
    The integration can then reach that page and its subpages.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The page duplication module doesn't copy databases or database items.
