Cloud Run, the Google Cloud service that hosts the Magic Meal Kits server, only works in a project with a linked billing account, and the install wizard checks billing before it deploys. Check these two things before you start and you won’t get stuck halfway.

1

Check that a billing account is open

Signed in with your install account, open console.cloud.google.com/billing. You should see a billing account with the status Active. If the list is empty, you haven’t finished entering billing details in Sign up for Google Cloud.

Check that the project is linked

Open console.cloud.google.com/billing/projects. The project you will install into should show a billing account name next to it. If the billing account column is empty or shows billing as disabled, open the menu on that project’s row, click Change billing and choose an active billing account.

A new Google Cloud account often already has one project created for you. You can pick that project in the install wizard or create a new one. Either way, it needs a linked billing account. See Installation for each screen.

If the billing check keeps failing

  • Make sure the account signed in to the install wizard is the same one signed in to the Google Cloud console. With several accounts in one browser, the console often opens under a different account.
  • If the free trial has ended and the billing account is closed, upgrade it with Activate Google Cloud billing.
  • If it still fails, message us on KakaoTalk.

Next step

Install Magic Meal Kits

Once billing checks out, start the install wizard.
